Why most pregnancy apps leave you out

Most pregnancy apps are written for the person who is pregnant, and that makes sense. But it leaves partners reading over a shoulder, or searching on their own for what this week means for them.

Becoming Three treats the partner as a full participant. You get your own view of every week, written for you, alongside mom's view of the same week.

What you get each week

Each week, the partner view covers what she may be feeling and practical ways to help, plus a short to-do list for you and a shared list for the two of you. The to-dos change as the pregnancy moves along, from early appointments to packing the hospital bag.

Here are a few of the partner to-dos, taken straight from the app:

Share it as a couple

You can use one phone together and switch between the mom and partner views, or each of you can use it on your own phone. Each phone keeps its own data and nothing syncs between them. That's the trade-off for keeping everything on your device.

If you change phones, you can export a backup file and import it on the new one.

Free, no account, no ads

Becoming Three is free, with no account, no ads and no subscription. It works offline, and it also includes a kick counter, a contraction timer and a hospital bag checklist for the final weeks.
